BEES GOING FOR HAT-TRICK
Thursday August 02, 2007
COVENTRY Buildbase Bees look to complete a perfect week as they take on Wolverhampton in Friday's big local derby at Brandon (8pm).
Bees have already won two out of two, at home to Poole and away at Reading, and will now look to maintain their 100% record against the Monmore men this season.
A win would take Bees level on points with second-placed Poole, still with a match in hand - whilst Wolves go into the meeting urgently needing an away win to boost their chances of a top four finish.
Bees are likely to once again operate the rider replacement facility for Olly Allen, whilst Wolves bring in Chris Kerr to replace the injured Kenneth Hansen.
Coventry co-boss Peter Oakes said: "Wolves are always to be regarded as dangerous opponents because they have riders who are good around Coventry.
"It's a cliché, but still true, to say that the formbook can go out of the window in any local derby, and we will be ready for them to put up a strong challenge."
The club would like to remind supporters that all children under the age of 11 will be admitted free of charge.
BUILDBASE BEES: Scott Nicholls, Olly Allen (or R/R), Rory Schlein, Steve Johnston, Chris Harris, Billy Janniro, Martin Smolinski.
WOLVES: Peter Karlsson, David Howe, Billy Hamill, Magnus Karlsson, Fredrik Lindgren, Chris Kerr, William Lawson.
