COVENTRY Buildbase Bees face a tough examination of their 14-match winning sequence when they travel to Poole on Wednesday.
The Pirates are also certainties for the play-offs and it is a distinct possibility that they could be Bees' opponents in the semi-finals at Brandon.
Bees need three more wins from their last five matches to guarantee a place in the top two and home advantage on September 17, although there are several other permutations - and with a match at struggling Ipswich on Thursday, plus two more at home next week, they will be confident of achieving their target.
First, though, they travel to Wimborne Road where they hold a seven-point lead as far as the aggregate point is concerned.
Bees will be tracking their usual side, with rider replacement for Olly Allen, whilst Poole are hoping that World Champion Jason Crump will pass a fitness test and take his place in the side, despite pulling out after two rides at Peterborough on Monday with a recurrence of his knee injury.
Bees co-boss Peter Oakes said: "We won at Wolves on Monday, and we know that two away wins from our last four may well be enough, so if we can go and win at Ipswich on Thursday I don't really think the result at Poole will make any big difference.
"But obviously we'll be confident that we can go out and win at Poole. We believe we can win everywhere, and if everyone is on song we certainly can do."
