Bees went into the meeting seeking their first Elite League win of the season after suffering back-to-back Good Friday defeats against Poole.
That had come as something of a shock after they had reeled off four wins out of four in the Midland League home and away against Birmingham and Wolverhampton.
The Stars were on a run of three successive defeats having lost home and away to Peterborough at Easter, and they also went down at Swindon the night before.
Bees handed a debut to Leigh Lanham as his doubling-up colleague Aaron Summers was unavailable due to Premier League commitments.
Former Coventry man Jordan Frampton stepped in for the Stars with David Howe unavailable, and they were led by Niels-Kristian Iversen with the then reigning World Under-21 Champion Maciej Janowski lining up in their middle-order.
It turned out to be a tense contest… we hope you enjoy the action.
