THIS Friday (Feb 26) we are delighted to bring you one of the very best meetings to be staged at Brandon in recent years.
The June 2015 clash with Belle Vue was a true classic and will be available to watch in full from 7.30pm, in association with Clean Cut Sports, at this link:
The Bees and the Aces were both firmly in the race for the play-offs, and they had already fought out a thriller in Manchester four nights earlier, in what turned out to be Coventry's last-ever visit to Kirkmanshulme Lane.
On that occasion, skipper Chris Harris overtook Matej Zagar in Heat 15 to ensure a 45-45 draw and maintain an impressive away record for the Bees.
The return fixture at Brandon proved to be a thriller from start to finish with great racing, drama and controversy, and a big finish.
Bees went into the meeting without reserve James Sarjeant, who was sidelined after a recent crash at Poole, and they brought in Lewis Rose to guest.
Harris, as so often, put the club first by delaying his departure for his GP qualifier in Italy the following day in order to ride for the Bees.
Meanwhile the Aces had former Coventry man Aaron Summers guesting for the unavailable Max Fricke, and operated rider-replacement for Craig Cook.
A sensational contest ensued, and we hope you enjoy re-living it once again!
