OUR Challenge match at Birmingham which was lost to the weather in the spring will now take place at Perry Barr on Wednesday August 17 at 7.30pm.
We’d like to thank the Brummies promotion for their willingness to re-stage the fixture, and for their hard work in building the line-ups.
The aim is for a great night of racing with two well-matched sides, and we’re delighted to confirm the Bees will be led by club legend Chris Harris, backed up by Danish star Hans Andersen who rode for the club in 2008, 2011 and 2014-15.
All of the Coventry team have prior connections with the club – including former mascots Dan and Joe Thompson, and local youngster Freddy Hodder, who is just beginning his racing career with Belle Vue, is named as No.8.
The Bees team in full is:
1 Chris Harris (c) 2 Adam Roynon 3 Connor Mountain 4 Dan Thompson 5 Hans Andersen 6 Joe Thompson 7 Luke Crang 8 Freddy Hodder
We can also confirm Martin Coleman will once again be team manager, which was the original plan back in March.
We do urge Coventry supporters to make the trip to Perry Barr in good numbers, particularly as we do anticipate some significant information regarding our own situation to emerge in the near future.
