COVENTRY Buildbase Bees have been boosted by the news that co-team manager Peter Oakes is set to continue in his position with the club.
In media interviews at the end of last season he was unable to definitely commit himself to 2007, partly due to his workload which also includes responsibility for British youth development in the sport and a number of journalistic positions. Now, though, he has stated that he is keen to continue at Brandon and add further silverware.
Peter said: "I have a hectic schedule and want to be fully committed to whatever I am involved in. But I enjoy the team management, the set-up of the club is right and I should also give some credit to my grandson Josh who travels to most of the matches with me and has been busily persuading me to stay on since the end of last season! I suppose after the success of the past two years, what we have to look for now is to go for the League and Cup double!"
